Sweet find of my day: Christopher Niemann’s Abstract City Blog in the New York Times. Apart from the “I LEGO N.Y.” set from last year — a simple, Demitri Martin-esque look at the Big Apple with a few LEGO bricks — this picture is one of my favorite illustrations.
I was alone for dinner tonight. Thank God. So I treated myself. The picture is my attempt at Momofuku’s Pan-Roasted, Dry-aged Ribeye steak. It’s not a $50 steak, but it turned out pretty good. Simple. Delicious. Basted.

This is one of my go-to Birthday Celebration Steaks. It’s fantastic.
This entry has my favorite quote in the Momofuku cookbook, loosely paraphrased: “If you ruin a $50 steak by overcooking…that makes you an asshole.”
So on the NBC Olympics Web site—in their “Olympic Pulse” social media section—they have their own “Twitter Tracker” …now where have I heard that before…

Awkward kinda. CoCo should’ve taken that with him. Almost feels like watching an ex regift a teddy bear you got them.
That being said, the Olympics twitter tracker is a sweet little piece of interactive infographic..
